Performance tuning
INTRODUCTION OF A COMPANY-WIDE INTERFACE DEPARTMENT
To establish the new and changed roles in one's own company, it is necessary to create incentives. This applies in particular to specialised roles. Incentives could include, for example, the offer to attend selected SME congresses, the setting of a career path, training and monetary incentives. The new roles also provide increased visibility and participation in company decisions.

SAP SE offers various training courses and certifications for SAP Basis administrators and SAP Basis consultants. As an alternative to internal recruitment and training, companies can also turn to external consultants or even outsource the entire SAP Basis administration to an external team with experience in SAP Basis.
Troubleshooting and support (2nd and 3rd level support)
In the ERP environment, SAP has created a separate module for each business task area over the course of time. Companies have the option of putting together a suitable system from these modules, depending on their individual needs.

A trick often used by administrators is to allow for time buffers before starting the next job. The buffer times are necessary because it is not possible to predict exactly how long a job will take to complete, since the duration depends on many incalculable parameters. Since it makes little sense to run backups and SAP jobs at the same time, these tasks are usually done one after the other rather than in parallel. In more complex environments, data backup durations, time buffers and job runtimes add up to such an extent that the time available is no longer sufficient to perform all activities within the available time corridor. Tools that work with status dependencies and then automatically start the next job when its predecessor job has been processed without errors can help here.

For administrators, a useful product - "Shortcut for SAP Systems" - is available in the SAP basis area.

This is the approach I'll describe to you in the following post.

Installing, migrating, upgrading, optimizing, monitoring and resolving ongoing issues with SAP systems.
