In addition to interfaces between system elements, Basis includes a development environment for R/3 applications, a data directory, and user and system administration and monitoring tools.
Advantages of SAP Basis Support
The Security Audit Log (SAL) is one of the most important elements when it comes to security in your SAP landscape. With SAL critical and security relevant activities in SAP systems can be recorded and evaluated. The settings in SAL are relevant for secure continuous operation.

A role concept according to best practice protects you from potential attacks within your SAP landscape. However, to protect your system from unauthorized access via the network, the SAP Gateway must be configured correctly. It enables the use of external programs via interfaces or the call of ABAP programs and serves as a technical component of the application server, which manages the communication of all RFC-based functions.

The "Shortcut for SAP Systems" tool is ideal for doing many tasks in the SAP basis more easily and quickly.

In the case of services, this is often accompanied by the aspect of personnel policy.

An SAP landscape is made up of numerous individual modules that are fully compatible with each other and can be used to map the business processes of all areas of a company.
