Automatically pre-document user master data
Implementing CRM Role Concept for External Services
It takes too long to read out the User and Permissions Management change notes? With a good archiving concept, you can improve performance. User and Permissions Management applications write change documents that increase significantly over time and can cause long wait times to read them. To reduce waiting times, you should archive the documents and set a logical index for key change documents. For this, however, you need a comprehensive overview of the storage locations and also of the evaluation possibilities and archiving scenarios. In the following we will show you how you can optimise the change document management of the user and permission management.

We advise you not to use the self-set password with a self-service as a generated password is more secure. The password is generated depending on the password rules; This is done by first evaluating the settings in the security policy assigned to the user. If no security policy has been assigned to the user, the system will consider the password rules in the profile parameters and in the customising table PRNG_CUST. In order for the associated security policy to be considered, you may need to include the correction provided with SAP Note 1890833. Remember that the BAPI_USER_CHANGE function block does not automatically unlock the user. In the event of a lock-out due to incorrect logins, you still have to unlock the user using the BAPI_USER_UNLOCK.
Authorization tools - advantages and limitations
The report shows system owners in real time which roles exist in SAP SuccessFactors and which authorizations these roles contain. The report also shows which roles are assigned to which users and whether there are duplicates, for example of groups or authorizations. The user can export this overview at any time.

Authorizations in a company are usually not assigned to individuals, but to roles. A role describes jobs or positions within the organization. One or more persons can hold a role and thus have the access authorizations assigned to the role. The authorization profile (the number of authorizations) of a role contains all authorization objects that are required to execute the transactions. By means of a profile generator (transaction PFCG) the creation of the authorization profile can be automated in SAP.

Authorizations can also be assigned via "Shortcut for SAP systems".

To use it, you must activate it.

The generated password is returned using the export parameter GENERATED_PASSWORD.
