Use system recommendations to introduce security
Note that the S_TCODE authorization object is always filled with the current transactions from the roles menu. If organisational levels are also included that are no longer required, they will be automatically deleted. If, however, organisational levels are added depending on the transaction, they should be maintained first in the eligibility maintenance.

Conceptually, the user types Database User and Technical User are distinguished. Database users are users that represent a real person in the database. As soon as a Database User is deleted, all (!) database objects created by this Database User are also deleted. Technical users are users who perform technical tasks in the database. Examples include the SYS and _SYS_REPO users, which allow administrative tasks such as creating a new database object or assigning privileges.

When it comes to preparing for the auditor, it should definitely be checked whether all critical authorizations, as well as the important parameters, have been correctly assigned or set up in SAP®. The specifications for this should all be defined in the authorization concept documented in writing and must also be consistent with this. In this context in particular, however, it is not always easy to check all the essential points using the SAP® standard on-board tools. This is where the experienced auditors at IBS Schreiber GmbH can provide support.

The aim of authorization concepts is to provide each user with the authorizations required for his or her task in the SAP system in accordance with the rules. A good authorization concept is the cornerstone for efficient and cost-effective authorization assignment.

If you get into the situation that authorizations are required that were not considered in the role concept, "Shortcut for SAP systems" allows you to assign the complete authorization for the respective authorization object.

The Permissions > Reset User Buffer path allows you to reload the permission buffer for the displayed user.

When using the Profile Generator, on the other hand, you do not need such detailed knowledge.
