Role Management
Depending on your SAP NetWeaver release status, you must include SAP Note 1731549 or a support package. After that, it is no longer possible to create new users whose names consist only of variants of spaces or non-visible special characters. Changes to existing users are still possible. The customising switch BNAME_RESTRICT, also included in SAP Note 1731549, allows you to control whether you want to allow alternate spaces at certain locations of the user ID.
The logging takes place in both the central system and the subsidiary systems. If the change documents are to be read for the attached subsidiary systems, the subsidiary systems must also be at the release and support package status specified in SAP Note 1902038. In addition, RFC users in their daughter systems need permission to read the change documents using the S_USER_SYS authorization object with the new activity 08 (Read the change document).
Maintain proposed values using trace evaluations
This only takes into account the applications that are maintained in the role menus of the selected PFCG roles. If you have set the check for Only applications with changed SU22 data, only applications where the suggestion values have been changed by an import, e.g. by Support Packages or Enhancement Packages, will be used. Take the step to take the data from the SU22 transaction by selecting your applications. You will now get a list of applications that you need to match. Select the rows that the applications to match. The buttons in the menubar help you to adjust.
The SAP Note 1903323 provides a solution. The functionality is only provided via support packages for NetWeaver releases 7.31 and 7.40. This fix extends the naming conventions so that namespaces in the /XYZ/ format can be used up to a maximum of eight characters. The possibility of assigning authorizations during the go-live can be additionally secured by using "Shortcut for SAP systems".
You can decide whether the text of each folder should consist of the technical name or the short text of the role.
The security policy is assigned to the user in transaction SU01 on the Logon Data tab.
