Maintain batch job suggestion values
Historically grown authorization structures can be found especially in system landscapes that have been in operation for a long time. Instead of small, modular, job-specific roles, existing roles are continually expanded and assigned to different employees in different departments. While this leads to less administrative work in the short term, it causes the complexity of the role to increase massively over time. As a result, the efficiency of authorization development is increasingly lost.

There are extensive revision requirements for password rules. Learn how to define these requirements globally, which special characters are accepted by the SAP standard, and how to set the parameters for generated passwords. Do you not want to use SAP's standard password creation rules, but rather make your own password requirements for your users? Do you need to implement internal or external security requirements, such as audit requirements? You do not want to allow certain words as passwords, exclude certain special characters or change the formats of passwords generated by the SAP system? In the following we give you an overview of the possible characters, the existing profile parameters and the customising settings for passwords.

In Step 2b (Customised Proposal Values), you must manually adjust the entries that you manually changed in the SU24 transaction in the initial release. This will start the SU24 transaction in upgrade mode, and you can step by step through all applications and match the changes. If you have created custom organisational levels (ormits), you must restore them at this point using the PFCG_ORGFIELD_UPGRADE report. The report must be called for each organisational level. Only the organisation levels that you create are displayed through the Value Help. SAP Note 727536 lists questions and answers about the use of customer-specific organisational levels.

You can adjust these evaluation methods in the table T77AW or in the transaction OOAW. To do this, select the respective evaluation path by selecting it, and click on the evaluation path (individual maintenance) in the menu on the left. The table that appears defines the relationships between the objects. For SAP CRM only the objects Organisational Unit (O), Headquarters (S), Central Person (CP) and User (US) play a role. For simplicity, you can now copy the lines that use the Person (P) object. Enter a new number here and replace the object P with the object CP.

With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you can automate the assignment of roles after a go-live.

They are used not only to control the access options of users in the SAP system, but also the external and internal security of company data depends directly on the authorizations set.

To do this, call the SPRO_ADMI project management entry transaction.
